 In science, white is made with all color and black is the absence of it. In art it’s the opposite, white is the absence of color and black is all of them combined. I love this juxtaposition of color between science and art. Within every color there is a warm, cool and neutral of that color. Adding white to a color makes a color lighter and it’s called a hue. Adding black to a color makes it darker and it’s called a shade. There are infinite combinations you can make with color and alternating between warm, cool and neutral. Lighting also affects color and how it looks in natural light vs artificial lighting.
