Growing up our house was one of the first built in the neighborhood that I grew up in and that my parents are still in! There was a new neighborhood being built behind ours and all the roads connected. So being kids we'd ride our bikes all over and stumbled upon a small creek with a downed tree that we could walk over. On the other side of the creek was what we called "Bamboo Forest". I remember cutting down a piece of bamboo, took it home, added some fishing line and went to go try to fish with it. I didn't catch anything, I'm still not a fisher. I'll stick to paint.
